After surveying relocation options in a variety of buildings, Cozen O’Connor decided to take on a complete renovation of their home of 16 years. The project required complete demolition and renovation of the law firm’s two existing floors. To allow for this, the firm moved to temporary space within the building so that the work could occur in a single phase.
In addition to the customary perimeter offices, conference rooms, workrooms and administrative stations, a variety of spaces were planned in a flexible manner so that their use could change over the life of the lease. Visitors are greeted into a conference center that introduces a sleek contemporary design that incorporates warm woods contrasted with white terrazzo floors and stone surfaces. A portion of the conference center hospitality space is also able to open onto an adjoining café to create a larger social space for firm gatherings and outside events.
